Mio Babbo's in Westwood Now Donna Sophia Trattoria

New, 3 comments

Longtime affordable neighborhood red sauce joint Mio Babbo's in Westwood Village has flipped into Donna Sophia Trattoria Pizzeria as of three weeks ago. The new Neapolitan restaurant is an operation by the Morra Family, those behind Italian eateries Da Pasquale in Beverly Hills and Brunello in Culver City. Executive chef and pizzaiolo Gennaro Nasti and sous chef/cousin Luigi Gragano are responsible for reasonably priced plates of eggplant parm, house-made gnocchi with tomato sauce, and ossobucco. Despite the restaurant's name, pizzas have yet to launch, but are coming in a few months. Hours of operation run Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m. [EaterWire]
