Verve Coffee Roasters to the Fashion District This Summer

Over the past couple of years Los Angeles has established itself as a strong player in the third wave coffee movement, and come summer the Fashion District will score yet another specialty coffee purveyor, Verve Coffee Roasters out of Santa Cruz. The 1,800 square foot cafe lands within the handsome Primrose Design building, a creative space that has housed showrooms for fashion brands like Free People and Alternative Apparel. Sharing turf with Verve is newish W. 3rd Street juice outfit Juice Served Here, in addition to Studio MAI (designers of Pedalers Fork and Gjelina).

Naturally, Studio MAI will design Verve's first LA hub, and Sprudge adds that two additional local outlets are in the works. Another cafe is destined for West Hollywood this fall, and a roastery is planned for the Arts District in 2015. In the meantime, catch Verve's pop-up in the courtyard at Vibiana Cathedral.
