It's not so much that those two white cottages at the front of the Malibu Pier have been under construction for the last half year, rather they've been in flux since Bay Area's Lark Creek Restaurant Group stepped in. While the structures themselves haven't changed, new management is redressing the free-standing buildings into Malibu Pier Restaurant and Bar, sporting a new internal beachy nautical look most appropriate for the Malibu Pier locale. Earlier this week Craigslist brought word that management planned to open this month with a seasonal American seafood-centered menu and craft cocktails, although exterior signage indicates a debut in "early spring." Either way, an absolute upgrade for the Pier along with late summer addition, Malibu Farm.
