AIA/LA Design Awards 2014, Call For Submissions

It's a big year for AIA/LA, as the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects celebrates a decade of excellence in design pertaining to restaurants, bars, lounges, clubs, and cafes. The group is now accepting nominations for its annual design awards, which honors local, national, and international establishments with innovative aesthetics. Remember if the venue is not based in Los Angeles, its designers must have an office here. As a recap, recognition is awarded in both the Jury Award and People's Choice Award categories, and this year Jonathan Gold has signed on to judge along with architect Barbara Bestor. One more judge has yet to be named.

Nominees will be announced on May 20 and winners will be named on June 20 at the AIA|LA Restaurant Design Awards Ceremony at Dwell on Design. [EaterWire]
