Trash Fish — a charity seafood dinner series which began last year in Boston with the intent to raise funds for Chefs Collaborate (an organization devoted to education on sustainable food practices) — lands at Mediterraneo in Hermosa Beach on March 10. Michael Cimarusti and Sam Baxter (Providence, Connie & Ted's), Jason Travi (littlefork), David LeFevre (MB Post), and Boulder's Kelly Whitaker (Basta) will cook five courses for $150 incorporating oft overlooked varieties of fish. Russian River Brewing will pair beers, including rare IPA Pliny the Younger. [EaterWire]
