AROUND TOWN— Oh my my. It's about to get easier to score Roscoe's famed chicken and waffles in the comfort of any local home. While the chicken chainlet already sells packaged frozen foods under the Roscoe's At Home brand, it's never before launched a chicken and waffle product outside of its restaurants. But via a partnership with East L.A.'s Dolores Canning Co. Inc., next month Roscoe's will release frozen waffles online and to markets like Food 4 Less and Superior Grocers. Meanwhile, a fried chicken "product" is in the works. [Los Angeles Business Journal]
SANTA MONICA— Bar Pintxo is looking to attract customers with a pretty sweet deal. Come in Sunday or Monday night at 6 p.m and score paella for two at $15 per head along with a half pitcher of sangria on the house. [EaterWire]
ELYSIAN PARK— After a decline in sales, the Los Angeles Police Revolver and Athletic Club cafe is fated to shutter for a facelift at the end of this month. In the interim, while workers refurbish the retro aesthetic, management will invite food trucks to serve the nabe. Hopefully the cafe's new look will improve business. [The Eastsider]
