When Main Street stalwart Dagwoods Pizza shuttered its small Venice operation last summer, word on the street was that another pizza joint would assume control. But, as it turns out, that previously mentioned Venice cafe under the name Gunpowder Tea is moving in. The high-end tea lounge wants to be the Intelligentsia of tea, offering a wide selection of fresh fruit-infused teas and teaspressos. Plus much more. If successful, this is a concept that owners would replicate throughout the city, but for now the flagship is set to steep on March 3. [EaterWire]
