SaMo's Red Heart Cafe Pulls the Plug But Vows to Return

That was quick. Santa Monica's Red Heart Cafe on Ocean Park Boulevard is down and out several months post launch. Right now the standard breakfast and lunch cafe sports papered over windows and a note posted to the door indicates that management "temporarily" shuttered to "create a new concept, re-work the menu and cook up new recipes." While the eatery is looking to make a comeback, it's unclear whether it will reopen under the Red Heart Cafe name or as a separate entity.
