Longtime Los Angeles restaurateur Jimmy Murphy of Jimmy's, a power player in Beverly Hills for over two decades at 201 S. Moreno Drive, passed away Saturday from pancreatic cancer at age 75. Launched in 1978, Jimmy's was a fashionable French eatery that counted Hollywood stars like Frank Sinatra, Richard Burton and the Reagans as regulars. Murphy sold the restaurant in 2000. [EaterWire]
