The Bun Truck Spawns The Bun Shop in Koreatown

Steve Yeun, an actor on The Walking Dead, tells The New Potato that he's an investor in The Bun Shop, a new bao bun-devoted restaurant in K-Town opened by his brother Brian Yeun and chef/partner James Seok. The Bun Shop is, in fact, the post and beam answer to The Bun Truck, and the restaurant kicked open doors January 20 with an expanded pork belly, fried Spam, and even fried avocado bun menu under $10. There's also some fun sides and desserts like crab and cream cheese fried wontons, deep fried Oreos with green tea ice cream, and custard buns served over salted caramel popcorn.
