Rick Caruso is taking over a large swath of Pacific Palisades in a Grove-style shopping center that will instantly become the largest retail component in the area. Developer of the Americana hopes create a walkable pedestrian shopping district from "the largest portfolio of commercial properties in this coastal pocket of Los Angeles," hoping to implement a deli, ice cream shop, maybe a Trader Joe's, and definitely restaurant concepts. Caruso's dealings are just about finished at this point, and once it's wrapped up by the end of the year, construction for the development should behind shortly after. Finally, a decent community gathering place with (hopefully) compelling food concepts for those stuck in Pacific Palisades.
