Beloved coffee purveyor Philz Coffee announced last October that it was planning a location down in Los Angeles. The SF Business Journal writes that the popular Bay Area shop will open in a 2,000 square foot spot on Santa Monica Blvd in Santa Monica, right in the heart of the Westside's tech-heavy office culture.

They'll be one of the first to exclusively serve The Larder Baking Company's pastries. CEO Jacob Jaber says that this store will reflect the local scene, and this will be the beginning of entries in the SoCal market. The actual space or opening date haven't been announced.
