Bellflower is on the move upward, at least in the culinary sense. Last year a barbecue shop opened with the largest hickory smoker in L.A., and now a cute breakfast joint called The Nest, which soft opened on March 7. Featuring everything from french toast, waffles, short rib hash, and egg sandwiches, it has all the hipster trappings that a place like EggSlut might have, but in a cleaner, more expansive room.

Open daily from 7 a.m. to the early afternoon, classics like pancakes go side-to-side with some heftier options that might work for lunch like pork chop and potatoes, or even poutine (breakfast-style, but good any time of day).
