Dough, A Bold New Pizza and Pasta Joint on Sunset Strip

Welcome Dough Pizzeria & Bar, a striking new eatery on Sunset Strip that replaces the old Frankie and Johnnie's on the corner of Sunset and Hilldale, just punching distance from The Roxy and Viper Room. Opening March 19, Dough is produced by Alex Ganjian and designed by Gabbay Architects and Greg Bleier's Studio Unltd (Bestia). The dark room has strong red chairs and signatures of famous celebrity clients of Frank & Johnnie's, like Matt Groening, Adam Sandler, and Forest Whitaker.

On the menu, expect small bites like arancini, mussels, and burrata salads, or by-the-slice or whole pies like BBQ chicken, squash blossom, Korean BBQ (believe it), and salami with Fresno chilis. Finally, throw in twists on pasta classics like spaghetti bolognese with soft boiled egg or fettucine with braised pork. And for something sweet, fried carrot cake and nutella-stuffed dough.
