The One Up's Plywood, Wine Dinners Galore, More!

STUDIO CITY— Just off the heels of EightyTwo opening in Arts District, another bar/arcade mash up called The One Up from Denver, which has no relation to the Denver locations, is gearing the old Mr. Cecil's Ribs spot on Ventura Blvd. They're licensed for about 400 square foot of arcade space. The plywood's up, but the opening date as not been set. [EaterWire]

PACIFIC PALISADES— Alain Giraud is doing a unique Pays Basque tasting menu at his namesake Maison Giraud on March 27. Cost is $75 per person for six courses and reseys can be made by calling 310-459-7561. [EaterWire]

AROUND TOWN— Open Table has a new system to allow users to get some of the best reservations in town, called Hot Tables. By setting up an alert with times and size of dinner party, Hot Tables can notify users in real-time if a spot comes up. At the moment, only available for VIP diners in select cities like LA, and interested parties can ask for an invite here. [ELA]

MID-CITY— On the subject of wine dinners, Hatfield's, still carrying the fine dining banner, is doing a 4-course pairing with Dragonette Cellars and Liquid Farm, $140 per person. Call 323-935-2977 to book a seat. [ELA]
