Fashion seems to take a liking to good coffee, and the industrial-chic Acne Studios on Downtown's hottest block is no exception. Il Caffe, a Swedish coffee chain with three outlets in Stockholm, was opened by Michael Backlinder adjacent to the high-end fashion brand with similar design principles of sheet metal, sweeping lines, modern black leather chairs, and a tidy Scandinavian aesthetic. As for beans, they're currently serving locally-roasted Stumptown (a tad unusual since LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel just a few hundred feet away also brews Stumptown), while Bread Lounge supplies pastries. Also, a small list of house-made sandwiches to quell any hunger pangs. Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, til 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
