WEST HOLLYWOOD— Fatty's Public House wasn't so well received on La Cienega and Broseph Restaurant Group is actually reworking the space into Open Air Kitchen and Bar, not another branch of their popular Santa Monica drinkery Brick & Mortar. BRG executive chef Laurent Saussy is adding a slew of new dishes to Fatty's menu and aesthetic changes are taking place like Edison bulbs and wood walls. The revamped menu goes into play next Tuesday although the full reboot isn't expected to finish until next month. [LAT]
AROUND TOWN— Want an Umami freebie? Buy a spring burger and score a comp dessert right this way. [EaterWire]
SANTA MONICA— Although Mercado on 3rd Street already brunches, the Santa Monica location is joining in as of this coming Sunday. Chef Jose Acevedo is introducing a new menu, which will eventually roll out to 3rd Street as well. [EaterWire]
LARCHMONT— Subbing burgers for burgers, fast growing chain Burger Lounge is replacing the shuttered Hamburger Hamlet XP at 217 N. Larchmont. [Larchmont LA]
