Cafe Pierre Says Au Revoir in April with Throwback Menu

New, 2 comments

Long established Café Pierre, a fixture in Manhattan Beach's white tablecloth dining faction for almost 37 years, will sign out on April 14 to cede space for chef Michael Fiorelli's (mar'sel) Love and Salt. Fiorelli has partnered with Café Pierre's father-daughter team of Guy and Sylvie Gabriele to reformat the restaurant into an Italian-California number opening this coming summer. According to Fiorelli, love and salt are the two key ingredients in cooking, and also words he has tattooed to his arms.

During Café Pierre's final week of service, April 6 to 13, the restaurant will serve a $60 four-course throwback menu of celebrated French dishes from the last four decades. Think ecargot with garlic butter, frog legs, and crème caramel.
