Flavor whiz Tai Kim opened his first Scoops ice cream shop almost a decade ago in East Hollywood, and last Friday he ushered in shop four with help from partner Chris Gere. Scoops Chinatown is set within the up and coming Far East Plaza, situated not far from Chego!. Hours run Tuesday through Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Additional Scoops branches are in the works for San Gabriel Valley, like Arcadia and Alhambra. [EaterWire]
