Hatfields Opening Odys & Penelope on La Brea This Fall

Fans of Quinn and Karen Hatfield's Sycamore Kitchen who have wondered what dinner service would look like, good news. The couple is taking a step back from their fine dining roots at Hatfield's and following up with a third eatery named Odys & Penelope, which follows the serious food but casual nature of Sycamore Kitchen in dinner form. Karen Hatfield told the LA Times that Odys & Penelope "has a similar feel in that it's an old warehouse with brick walls and wood-beamed ceiling. It comes from a concept we've been thinking about for a long time that's more how we cook and eat on a regular basis. Sycamore represents that in a breakfast/lunch sense. This is more what dinner looks like." The 3,800 square foot restaurant with 80 seats and a full bar is located just a few doors down on La Brea and should open this coming fall. Attention will be on a grill, churrasco and smoker for "a modern take on a grill concept," but not a steakhouse.
