LA Chefs Dominate Esquire TV's Knife Fight Season 2

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Knife Fight returns April 15 on Esquire TV with a flurry of L.A. chefs taking the stage against their fellow chefs in the after-hours culinary competition. Taking place inside Ilan Hall's The Gorbals, headline competitors include Traci Des Jardins, Kevin Gillespie, and Charles Phan (Slanted Door) while judges Kris Morningstar and Naomi Pomeroy (Beast PDX) get thrown into the mix. Says Hall, "We have a combination of Michelin star [owners], James Beard Award-winners, Food & Wine Best New Chefs, and still the only prize is a shitty knife."
