Spaghettini & the Dave Koz Lounge to Beverly Hills

Photo: LoopNet

Dinner and a show is coming to Beverly Hills. Nine-time Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz is partnering with Cary Hardwick and Laurie Sisneros, those behind Spaghettini in Seal Beach, to open Spaghettini & the Dave Koz Lounge this summer. Chef Scott Howard (Brick & Bottle, SF) will serve as culinary director for both restaurants, though also assume the executive chef title in Beverly Hills.

Howard is promising a "pasta lab" of sorts within the California-Italian restaurant, in addition to some of the more popular plates from Seal Beach like parmesan-crusted Chilean seabass and orecchetti with six-hour Kurobuta pork bolognese, porcini mushrooms, and pecorino.

As for design, the team hired Eric Rosen Architects to build a restaurant and live music venue with an exposed beam ceiling, leather booths and chiseled travertine stone. Expect lunch, dinner, late dining dining, weekend brunch, and of course musical performances. [EaterWire]
