It's probable that no one will think of pizza alone when they walk into Wood Handcrafted Pizza in Silver Lake, which soft opened last Monday in the old Tom's Burgers on Sunset Blvd. The Neapolitan pies are founded upon a simple, wood-fired margherita, building up to more creative pies like lamb kofta, farmer's market mushrooms, and cavolo nero with pancetta. Priced between $12-18 dollars, Wood is aspiring to be an elevated pizza experience in Silver Lake. Interestingly enough, the phallic logo hasn't been put up yet. Currently open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
