In the former Bubba Diego's, Palms gets a new place called Ricardo's El Ranchito, a Mexican restaurant sporting a day-of-the-dead theme. Opened last week with an El Torito-like menu of enchiladas, chile verde, carnitas and combo plates, the American-ized joint offers tacky "Ricardead" drinks like a Hallows Eve mojito and Mango Mariachi. Tasty? Possible, but Palms could have used a much better place to represent Mexican cuisine. [EaterWire]
