Lunch at Faith & Flower; Osteria La Buca Chef to NYC

DOWNTOWN— A reminder that Faith & Flower, the new American restaurant from Coastal Luxury Management, revealed lunch yesterday. Some eats off the dinner menu will be sold during lunch, plus sandwiches and raw bar items. [EaterWire]

NYC— In addition to landing new owners, more news by way of Osteria La Buca. Previous chef Wes Whitsell recently decamped to work at an undisclosed Manhattan eatery, but word on the street is that Whitsell intends on eventually moving back to Los Angeles and opening his own spot. [EaterWire]

MID-CITY— Have a looksee inside Hiatus Urban Barbecue, the replacement for the original Mondo Taco on S. La Brea. The build-your-own barbecue sandwich shop debuts tomorrow with an ever changing selection of unique eats like Dr Pepper–braised pulled-pork and ramen slaw. [Urban Daddy]
