DOWNTOWN— Fifty Seven, the ever changing restaurant stage that kicks off with former Eleven Madison Park sous chef David Nayfeld, has a fancypants benefit dinner coming up. The restaurant's first annual End Hunger Gala takes place May 12. Nayfeld plus Ari Taymor (Alma), Evan Funke (Bucato), Tim Hollingsworth (formerly French Laundry) and Rory Herrmann (formerly Bouchon) are cooking six courses for the not so cheap price of $275. But hey, all proceeds go to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. [EaterWire]
BELL— Well received newish Latin addition Corazon y Miel joins the brunch game on April 27. Brunch service will continue on weekends thereafter from 10 a.m .to 2 p.m. with plates like wild boar chilaquiles, turkey leg pozole, and cured salmon toast con escabeche. But note, those are dishes on the opening menu, options will change at whim. [EaterWire]
VEGAS— The new SLS Hotel in Vegas is slated to debut over Labor Day weekend with eateries like Umami and The Bazaar. Two new concepts joining the property are Bazaar Meat, a non-traditional steakhouse, and Ku Noodle, a noodle-focused eatery serving "Asian comfort food for the soul." [sbe]
