An entity named "Alvarado Zarate LLC" is in the process of buying Ensenada Restaurant & Bar on Spring between 5th and 6th Street in the Historic Core Downtown. Based on that name, one might assume that Picca master Ricardo Zarate is involved, but the chef says that this is not his project. Anyway, as long as the deal closes, expect a new eatery under the name Tabachines Cocina. Additional tips welcome in the comments. [EaterWire]
