1933 Group (Sassafras, Thirsty Crow) is remaking West Hollywood's long vacant Crown Bar into Clementine a new West Hollywood bar that, per flacks, "revives the storied glamour of 20th century America through elegant design and contemporary cocktails." 1933 Group partner Bobby Green is spearheading the design and, interestingly enough, Eric Greenspan who just opened Greenspan's Grilled Cheese, will flex his chef muscle in the form of upscale bar bites.
Former Drago Centro bartender Kyle Ackley is in as GM, meanwhile Dushan Zaric of lauded New York bars Employees Only and Macao Trading Co. will handle drinks. Totally exciting because Clementine marks his west coast debut. As for the launch, a press preview is set for May 13, so the public debut should follow shortly thereafter.
