Healthy, fast, casual. It's a pretty good combination, as long as the ingredients are tasty. Expect as much from The Harvest Bar, opening April 28 in Sherman Oaks with customizable acai, quinoa, and fruit bowls. Popularized in Brazil and Hawaii, the surfer snack comes to the Valley via Chris Gors, Aric Haut, and Dustin White, who discovered the bowls from their varied fitness endeavors. Patrons can create individual bowls or pick off a pre-determined menu, like the Protein Bowl, loaded with acai, banana, pineapple, and hemp milk. Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and starting a bit later on weekends.
