WESTWOOD— Panini Cosmopolitan Cafe, a scattershot quasi-Mediterranean eatery, is coming to the heart of Westwood in the former Campanola space with a May 1 debut. The menu serves everything from pork sliders and empanadas to koobideh burgers and salmon paninis. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— Brigham Yen takes a stroll through the developing Union Station, which is getting spruced up in every way, from new signs to new eateries, such as T&Y Bakery, a Russian pastry shop. [Brigham Yen]

VENICE—Sunny Spot is launching a new Monday Night Sliders Menu from 5-10 p.m. Think a one-fisted beef slider with aged cheddar, pork belly slider with pork ribs and citrus pepper sauce, and the Cuban nugg slider, with pork terrine and provolone. [ELA]
