Hermosa Beach Fish Shop, the fast-casual purveyor of seafood in the form of sandwiches, tacos, salads or plates, is soft open today after a relatively quick six month turnaround. The mini-chain, which was founded in San Diego as PB Fish Shop (For Pacific Beach), is not too different from the likes of California Fish Grill or Malibu Fish Grill, though with a more expanded menu of things like crab cakes, fried calamari, and chowders.

Another difference: the ordering method is a little more intuitive, almost Chipotle-like, with fish and shellfish lined up in a glass display and customized along the way. Hours run 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
