The Fashion District's Santee Village has a swell new place to caffeinate in Coffee Colab, a production by The Humble Cup's Leon Li, Sonny Mediana of Taza Social Coffee House, and Williams Miyazaki of Suits & Knives officially opened May 8. The idea is to support various coffee roasters around town, as well as boast Suits & Knives' current roasting operation. As for other brews, they'll come from the likes of Andante, Augie's, and other rather unheralded roasters around Southern California. As for the menu, think a standard set of espresso drinks and pourover coffee. Hours run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., depending on foot traffic rolling through in the evenings.
