Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

The Blind Donkey, the brainchild of Brandon Braford, John Bower, Ryan Sweeney and Alen Aivazian, has made its way south after a successful debut in Old Town Pasadena. Officially open May 9, expect a lineup of over 100 whiskies, craft beer, wine, and cocktails, with only bar snacks in the way of edibles. Located in the basement of the Broadlind Hotel, it's another nice addition to Long Beach's bar scene.

For other entertainment options, pinball machines, arcades, darts, pool tables, and a photo booth, as bars continue to offer more in the way of drinking activities. Karoake and trivia nights are also on the way. Open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m nightly.
