Highland Park's The Church on York, a hipster music venue that took over a former church, has been shut down by the city for failing to adhere to the rules. Though supposedly operating on a community special event permits, the venue was throwing 20 shows a month instead of only 5. Their pending ABC license for beer & wine is now up in the air.
