Hovering over the rather large complex that comprises Eduardo Ruiz's Picnik, here is Punch, the speakeasy by Robin Chopra and Darwin Manahan on the edge of Old Town Pasadena. The expansive space, encircled by comfy couches and typical lounge seating, seems to be the place for having discreet meetups or more tempered hangouts with companions. Enter through the back red door and sip a classic punch chilled by jamaica or cucumber ice. Currently only open Thursday and Fridays until midnight, with more evenings in the week planned in months ahead.
