Chris Crary (Top Chef Season 9) has been on the map since 2011, when he was chef de cuisine at Whist inside Santa Monica's Viceroy Hotel. He then went on to head up the kitchen at 41 Ocean. After he left that gig last year, Crary took some time off. News in today that Crary has taken on a big new role with SBE — executive chef at HYDE Sunset: Kitchen & Cocktails, opening this summer in the former XIV space.
Says Crary about his new job: "I feel like I am more focused than I ever have been on my food. I'm really excited to bring great food and exciting nightlife together. It's something LA is in desperate need of, a one stop shop for your entire evening."
