Highland Park is well on its way to becoming the next hipster enclave in L.A., and nothing signifies that better than a vegan joint. Here's Kitchen Mouse, which opened last week on Figueroa and Avenue 59 boasting everything from avocado sandwiches, kombucha, dill quinoa salads, and tempeh reubens. (Note: they do serve one egg dish, if that's going to bother a vegan in your dining party)

Founded by Erica Daking, who previously operated as a catering company, the place has already gotten a ton of rave early reviews on Yelp. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed on Mondays.
