BRENTWOOD—Cafe Rockenwagner is launching a new pretzel happy hour from Tuesday to Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Think a pretzel burger, pretzel pizza, pretzel grilled cheese, pretzel dog, and pretzel twist with dip, plus beer and wine specials. [EaterWire]

MONTEREY PARK—LAist covers one man who was severely injured in that recent fire truck accident where an engine crashed into Lu's Dumpling in Monterey Park. A pretty sad story. [LAist]

HIGHLAND PARK—The Church on York is closing for good. Hm, if they'd only done things the legal way, they could've stuck around. Now what happens to that venue? [Facebook]

CULVER CITY—Evan Funke is having a one night special for his iconic burger that he once made at Rustic Canyon at his current eatery, Bucato on May 26 from 12 to 8 p.m., with 20% of proceeds going to charity. [Unemployed Eater]
