Yet another compelling spot for Highland Park/Garvanza, which is almost too rich with drinking places like Hermosillo, The Greyhound, The York, and Sonny's Hideaway. The old Dusty's Sports Bar is being converted into The Offbeat, a retro 1960's style watering hole touting a new dark gray concrete slab facade. Opening early June, the faux brick frontage of Dusty's has been shed to reveal a zig zag form that's not quite Googie. No word yet on the drink program, but expect something on this side of approachable. [EaterWire]
