A Celebration of Bones and Meat at LA's Rib Festival

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

File this one into the schedule. On July 13, Joshua Lurie is putting together the first FoodGPS Rib Festival in Chinatown with a slew of rib preparations from Bryant Ng, Matthew Poley (Heirloom LA), Chris Oh (Seoul Sausage Co.), Eduardo Ruiz (Corazon y Miel), Vartan Abgaryan (Cliff's Edge) and Johneric Concordia (The Park's Finest BBQ).

The actual location will be in the square that surrounds Bruce Lee's statue. So if eating ribs while in the presence of a Kung Fu master is your thing, pick up a ticket. Other details aren't released yet but general admission runs $60, which includes beer and cocktails, and VIP early admission and guaranteed seating costs $85 a head. [EaterWire]
