Here's the inside of ChocoChicken, which was once the gloriously designed CorkBar, on the corner of 12th and Grand. Opening some time either later next week or the week of June 9 pending the liquor license, this is the second concept from Adam Fleischman's AdVantage Partners, after smoke.oil.salt. With smooth metal surfaces, neutral colors, and giant TV's, think of it like the ultimate fried chicken sports bar. And just steps away from Staples Center, there probably isn't a better place to pre-game a hockey or basketball game.

But back to the food, yes, it's fried chicken done right, and served with some delectable chocolate sauce and other chock-laden sides like white chocolate mashed potatoes, biscuits, and duck fat fries. Don't worry Westsiders, another is coming to Santa Monica soon.
