Almost a year ago, Blue Plate Restaurant Group attained Tony Riviera's Luigi Osteria on 3rd Street. Now, everything is coming together and Blue Plate Oysterette plans to open its doors some time in June. The space will be much bigger and Santa Monica based Interior Designer, Tim Clarke, has designed it. He has also done Blue Plate Taco and the original BP Oysterette.
The menu should be the same and it includes a raw bar that features a variety of oysters as well as ceviche, shrimp cocktails and clams and they also have salads and small plates to share. Their motto is "approachable, clean, simple with menus that consist of items you eat every day." BP Oysterette is hiring for front of the house and back of the house right now for both locations and training will start soon for the new spot. —Keyla Vasconcellos
