After years of success as Porterhouse Grill, the prime location along Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills wasn't quite friendly to Carson House (and definitely lot to the very short-lived Delfini Citta'), which barely lasted a year before shuttering. Walking by produced a quick answer from the landlord, who's owned the property for decades: the operators of Carson House just weren't cut out to run the business.
Kevin O'Connell (9 Olives) had signed on earlier this year to help drum up business, to no avail. Remaining in the space is a slew of mixmatched furniture, couches (why does a restaurant need couches?), and a sweet beer tap system that must've cost a small fortune to install. It's up for grabs at the moment for $10,000 a month.
