Burgerim, the Israeli burger chain that offered gourmet sliders, has shuttered, and after several months under the knife, opened June 6th as Bite Mi Café, a fast casual Vietnamese restaurant specializing in banh mi sandwiches. The new owner, Phil Vui, proprietor of the similarly cleverly named Phonomenal just down the street, explained the pricy mini-burger concept just didn't stick in the neighborhood.
Although West Hollywood has seen an expansion of Vietnamese offerings, Bite Mi's affordable selection of Vietnamese sandwiches, salads, and rolls offers diners quick and healthy option on the go. Bite Mi Café is open daily from 11 am to 10 pm, and serves breakfast specials from 8 am to 10 am. —Crystal Coser [EaterWire]
