Bershire Tavern, A New Valley Bar from Ryan Sweeney

Construction has begun on Ryan Sweeney's Bershire Tavern (listed as such on the ABC, but could have been a typo for Berkshire), which takes over the old Smiles Caberet Nightclub along Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. Sweeney's partners, Brandon Bradford and Alen Aivazian also founded The Blind Donkey in both Pasadena and Long Beach, as well as The Phoenix. Like The Phoenix, this spot carries a 47 license, which will require the serving of food along with the drinks, but there's no word yet on the overall concept.
