More news on the upcoming Ramen Burger restaurant Eater first heard about at last weekend's DTLA Night Market. The venue will actually be more of a walk-up window adjacent to popular bar Lock & Key, serving the late night crowds and anyone who passes by. The kitchen space currently goes by the name Stall 239 and has been experimenting with fusion-y street food for a while now, but will take on Keizo Shimamoto's' more substantial menu by early August (minus actual bowls of ramen).
The most notable new addition is sure to be Shimamoto's crispy ramen fries, which he's been experimenting with for months. A couple of soft opening events are slated for July 5 and 13, in the evenings, as the Ramen Burger team figures out how to feed the inevitable lines from their tiny new kitchen. —Farley Elliott
