Just in time for summer, the legendary Poop Deck in Hermosa has now been cleaned up and shaped into The Deck, a slightly trendier and grown up wine and beer bar. Open for just under two weeks, the classic Hermosa Beach dive bar is now just a regular ol' bar, serving $13 pitchers of beer just steps from the boardwalk. Oh, but wait, there's now wine for the bourgeois types that prefer to sip boozy grape juice instead of suds. Bill Vacek, the longtime owner of the Poop Deck, had passed away in 2008 before building owners went on to sell the old dive. [EaterWire]
