Bobby London Brings Sixties Style to Koreatown

Welcome to Bobby London, the decidedly Mad Men-esque bar that reopened in Koreatown in late May. The remodel, headed by new owners Josh Richman and Hartwell of The Alliance and Stout Group, was intended to return sophistication to the lounge's interior while paying homage to the sixties, the decade in which Bobby London first debuted.

While the exterior signage, a landmark in the neighborhood, has remained intact, a late sixties Playboy-inspired artwork is now visible from the street. The interior space is marked by rich wood and dark jewel tones, with ad awards won by the Richman family lining the walls. A haunt truly worthy of Donald Draper.

Libations also stay true to the period, with Schlitz in a can, microbeers, and cocktails like Makers Manhattans and Templeton Old Fashions. DJs currently spin Wednesday-Saturday nights, with both live music and a burlesque show in the works. -Crystal Coser
