Here's Asian Box, a casual rice bowlery box shop with three outlets in the Bay Area, is now officially serving in Burbank, just across from a megaplex theater. Sure, that's how Burbank tends to roll, with numerous chain restaurants and over-commercialized eateries, but Asian Box does things a little differently. For example, everything here is made with local, from-scratch ingredients and placed in eco-friendly, compostable ware. Like ShopHouse, pick a base of rice, noodles, or salad, add on meats, toppings, and sauces for just under $10. Check out the full menu here. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and until 9 p.m. on Sunday. Don't worry, another location is hitting Downtown some time in the summer.
