Here is Awesome Coffee, the delightfully named cafe in Koreatown from John Kim opened in mid-May that serves everything from specialty coffee from multiple roasters, waffles and liquid nitrogen ice cream. While the uber-scientific method of ice cream making is still trying to make its mark on L.A., at least the milk's organic. Inside, a rather spartan, BrewWell-like space with some quaint decor. The coffee menu is pretty straightforward in the espresso section, with pourover and affogatos to mix things up. Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and until 10 p.m. on weekends.
